Water dripping from a bathroom ceiling light fitting
Water in a light fitting is dangerous. Turn off the power at the fuse box.

Water is dripping from the bathroom light fitting below. Or the floor is wet around a socket after a leak. You need two things fixed at once: the leak and the electrics.

Stay safe

  1. Turn off the main switch at your fuse box. Only do this if you can reach it without standing in water.
  2. Turn off your stopcock to stop the leak.
  3. Keep everyone away from the wet area, especially children and pets.
  4. Don't touch any wet switches, sockets or appliances.
Fuse box wet, or can't reach it safely? Stay away, leave the property if you need to, and call us. If there are sparks or smoke, call 999.

Why call us

Most companies send a plumber or an electrician. We do both. First we find and stop the leak. Then our electrician tests the circuits once they've dried, replaces anything damaged, and turns the power back on when it's safe.

How a callout works

  1. You call. A real person answers and talks you through making it safe.
  2. We dispatch the nearest free engineer and text you their name and arrival time. We aim for 60 minutes, and if traffic or a busy night means longer, we tell you straight away.
  3. The engineer diagnoses the fault and gives you a fixed price before starting.
  4. We fix it, tidy up and email your invoice and photos.

See our callout prices. If you decide not to go ahead after the quote, you pay only the callout.

For homes and businesses

Residential: houses, flats, mansion blocks, period and listed homes, and rented properties. We protect your floors and finishes, and can meet a tenant or work with your porter or concierge.

Commercial: offices, restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels, shops, clinics and managed buildings. We work out of hours if you need us to, and offer accounts with monthly invoicing. See commercial plumbing and electrical services.

Common questions

Water is dripping from my light fitting. What do I do?

Turn off the power at the fuse box, don't use the light switch, and turn off the water at the stopcock. Then call us. The leak and the wiring both need checking.

Is it safe to turn the power back on after a leak?

Not until the wet circuits have dried and an electrician has tested them. Water inside fittings or cables can cause shocks or fires.

Do you send a plumber and an electrician?

Yes. We stop the leak first, then test and repair the electrics.

Areas we cover

We cover central London (Westminster, the City, Kensington and Chelsea) and west London (Hammersmith, Fulham, Chiswick, Acton and Ealing).
