How pricing works
- The callout covers travel and the first hour on site.
- The engineer finds the fault and gives you a fixed price for the repair.
- You decide. If you say no, you pay only the callout.
Which rate applies?
The rate depends on when the engineer arrives, not when you call. Daytime is 7am to 6pm every day, including weekends. Evenings are 6pm to midnight. Nights are midnight to 7am, and bank holidays are charged at the night rate all day. If you call at 5:30pm and we reach you at 6:15pm, the evening rate applies. We'll always tell you which rate it is before we set off.
What changes the final price
- Time on site. Simple jobs, like a stuck stopcock or a blocked toilet, are often done inside the first hour.
- Parts. We carry common parts in the van. If something special is needed, we'll price it before ordering.
- Access. Pipes under floors or behind tiles take longer to reach. We'll explain the options, including making safe now and finishing later at the daytime rate.
Save money before we arrive
A few minutes of first aid can stop the damage and shorten the job. Turn off your water at the stopcock, switch off the electrics at the fuse box if water is near them, and move valuables out of the way.

Common questions
What's included in the callout charge?
Travel to you and the first hour on site. Further time is charged in 30-minute blocks, and parts are charged at the price on your quote.
Are there any extra charges on top?
No. Travel, parking, the congestion charge, ULEZ and VAT are all included in the callout. The only other cost is parts, and you see their price on your quote before we start.
Do you charge for parking or the congestion charge?
No. Many London firms add these to the bill. We include them in the callout, wherever you are in London.
What if I decide not to go ahead?
You pay only the callout charge. We'll leave the area safe before we go.
Is it cheaper to wait until the morning?
Often, yes. Daytime rates are lower. If water or power is under control and nothing is unsafe, we'll tell you honestly if it can wait.
Do you charge more for some London postcodes?
No. The same prices apply across every London borough we cover. Outer towns may take longer to reach, but the price list is the same.
How do I pay?
By card or bank transfer when the job is done. Landlords and businesses can ask for an account with monthly invoicing.
